Talking Heads.

Home is where I want to be
Pick me up and turn me round
I feel numb - burn with a weak heart
(So I) guess I must be having fun
The less we say about it the better
Make it up as we go along
Feet on the ground
Head in the sky
It's ok I know nothing's wrong . . nothing

Hi yo... I got plenty of time
Hi yo... you got light in your eyes
And you're standing here beside me
I love the passing of time
Never for money
Always for love
Cover up say goodnight . . . say goodnight

Home - is where I want to be

But I guess I'm already there
I come home she lifted up her wings
Guess that this must be the place
I can't tell one from another
Did I find you, or you find me?
There was a time Before we were born
If someone asks, this where I'll be . . . where I'll be

Hi yo... We drift in and out
Hi yo... sing into my mouth
Out of all those kinds of people
You got a face with a view
I'm just an animal looking for a home
Share the same space for a minute or two
And you love me till my heart stops
Love me till I'm dead
Eyes that light up, eyes look through you
Cover up the blank spots
Hit me on the head
Ah ooh...
~ This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody).

WELL WE KNOW WHERE WE'RE GOIN'
BUT WE DON'T KNOW WHERE WE'VE BEEN
AND WE KNOW WHAT WE'RE KNOWIN'
BUT WE CAN'T SAY WHAT WE'VE SEEN
AND WE'RE NOT LITTLE CHILDREN
AND WE KNOW WHAT WE WANT
AND THE FUTURE IS CERTAIN
GIVE US TIME TO WORK IT OUT

We're on a road to nowhere
Come on inside
Takin' that ride to nowhere
We'll take that ride

I'm feelin' okay this mornin'
And you know,
We're on the road to paradise
Here we go, here we go
We're on a road to nowhere
Come on inside
Takin' that ride to nowhere
We'll take that ride
Maybe you wonder where you are
I don't care
Here is where time is on our side
Take you there...take you there

We're on a road to nowhere
We're on a road to nowhere
We're on a road to nowhere

There's a city in my mind
Come along and take that ride
And it's all right, baby, it's all right

And it's very far away
But it's growing day by day
And it's all right, baby, it's all right

They can tell you what to do
But they'll make a fool of you
And it's all right, baby, it's all right

US massacre at The Dark Knight Rises screening.

AURORA, Colorado: An emotional candle-lit vigil was held late Friday for the victims of a US massacre at a premiere of the latest Batman movie, which left 12 people dead and nearly 60 injured. The town of Aurora, Colorado stood in silent mourning, as it emerged that the alleged gunman bought more than 6,000 rounds of ammunition on the Internet, and four guns, in the two months before the shootings. The masked, black-clad shooter, named as James Holmes, 24, burst into a movie theater barely 20 minutes into the midnight screening of "The Dark Knight Rises," throwing two tear-gas type devices before opening fire. "As far as we know, it was a pretty rapid pace of fire in that theater," said Aurora police chief Dan Oates, his voice shaking at times with emotion, and exhaustion after a long night and day dealing with the trauma. In an end-of-day update, he amended slightly the number of victims of the shooting at a midnight screening of the latest Batman movie, "The Dark Knight Rises," from 71 to 70. Twelve of them died, including 10 in the theater. A local children's hospital reported six young victims, the youngest of whom was aged only six. At least three of the wounded were US military members, the Pentagon said. Shots fired in one auditorium went through the wall and hit people in the auditorium next door. The first police were on the scene within 90 seconds, while eventually some 200 officers swarmed around the building. "Nearly everyone was shot," he said, adding that a "handful" of those treated in hospital did not have gunshot wounds, but suffered other injuries in the mayhem. "In the last 60 days, he purchased four guns at local metro gun shops and through the internet he purchased over 6,000 rounds of ammunition," he said. He added: "My understanding is that all the weapons that he possessed he possessed legally, and all the clips that he possessed, he possessed legally, and all the ammunition he possessed, he possessed legally." Police arrested Holmes - who was wearing full body armor and a gas mask, apparently to protect him from effects of his own tear gas - without encountering resistance by his car at the rear of the theater. Holmes, who reportedly attended the University of Colorado medical school until last month, had no criminal record aside from a citation for speeding in October 2011, according to police. His nearby apartment was found to be booby-trapped with a sophisticated arsenal of incendiary and chemical devices. Police used mobile ladders to try to enter the apartment through external windows. But Oates said late Friday that the operation had been postponed until Saturday. Witnesses described chaos chillingly similar to that depicted in the Batman films, in which maniacal villains terrorize Gotham City. "I saw some people start to get up. I poked my head up to see what was going on and when I did that I saw another flash and instantly put my head down as he started shooting again," said 17-year-old Tanner Coon. Cinemas in New York tightened security at Batman showings, and the AMC theatre chain announced a ban on face masks and fake weapons - several people wore costumes in Aurora, possibly helping Holmes to blend in with the melee. The French premiere of the film in Paris was cancelled. Holmes' parents, who live in San Diego, were shocked but "fully cooperating with law enforcement officials," said a San Diego Police Department spokeswoman, Andra Brown. President Barack Obama cut short a campaign trip to Florida and returned to the White House to address the situation, although his spokesman said there appeared to have been no link to terrorism. "Such violence, such evil, is senseless. But, while we will never know fully what causes somebody to take the live of another, we do know what makes life worth living," the president told a somber crowd in Florida. "The people we lost in Aurora loved and they were loved," Obama said. As with previous such shootings - all too regular in the US - lobby groups and some political leaders called for legislation to restrict civilians' access to firearms. "Maybe it's time that the two people who want to be president of the United States stand up and tell us what they are going to do because this is obviously a problem across the country," New York mayor Michael Bloomberg said. The US congressman for Aurora, Democrat Ed Perlmutter, called Holmes a "psychotic son of a bitch," adding: "I'm sorry for the cussing. You know, it just is boggling to my mind." Obama ordered US flags to be flown at half-mast for six days. Oates, the Aurora police chief, said the suspect set off two devices to distract the crowd and opened fire with an AR-15 assault rifle, a Remington shotgun and a Glock automatic pistol. At least two of the weapons were purchased from a local gunseller, Bass Pro Shops. "Based on the records we have reviewed, personnel in our Denver store correctly and fully followed all federal requirements with respect to the sale of one shotgun and one handgun," it said in a statement. Aurora is barely 20 miles (32 kilometers) from the scene of the 1999 Columbine High School massacre, in which two students shot dead 13 people before committing suicide. About 200 people attended an early evening vigil, while another memorial was due to be held at midnight Friday. - AFP

.......................................................................................................................................

I sometimes wonder how or could such incidences be prevented? Gun totting, lone shooter armed and shoot at innocents. Not only in US, but also in this country which luckily, guns possession is outlawed, even though it perplexed me how robbers sometimes can get their hands on guns. The place I currently stayed are now officially declared a "hot spot" after a series of robberies in what is known to be a safe residential area for as long as I can remenber. The residential association has now enforced security guards, boom gates etc. Some volunteers even takes their time off and maybe, personally, risk their lives by making rounds at night and early morning to ensure safety. What makes me feel angry, and abit of helplessness is that those criminals come to you. They scheme and plan and attack while we remain like sitting ducks, vulnerable. Like the series of car park robberies where the victims are injured in the process, as well as the terrible death of an elderly lady in Penang's Rifle Range at the hands of a snatch thief, while the people leaves her lying there as her breath runs out. Public apathy at its ugliest. And of course the recent indicident where a pair of seemingly normal man and woman ran amok and stormed Putrajaya. Can someone gives me an answer?

Wang Chung - Everybody Have Fun Tonight.

Loves the song, but hates the nausea inducing video. Probably the "godfather" video for all acid house/trance MTV with 200bpm videos.

Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Relax (Don't Do It).

Relax! Don't do it. When you wanna cum? Or come? Controversial for its time. Anyway I am more interested in the song than the lyrics.

Nena - 99 Luft Balons (German version).

How could we miss this excellent song? I rock like heck when I was a kid each time this was on, the English version of course.

Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes.

Smoky voiced, I don't even know who the singer was, but darn, loves this song.

Alphaville - Forever Young.

Do you really wanna live foreveeeeerrrr???!!!
Joke aside, another one of my fav single from the 80s.

The Dark Knight Rises Review.

So, it ends. Just caught the movie premier moments ago at sigh...USJ Summit. The crowds are packed. So how is it? Again, Esther doesn't wanna go, so it's all lonesome cowboy watch for me. But at least we went to watch the new Spider Man in 3D last week, which is a mistake, coz I can't see the effect at all. Also I prefer the Tobey Maguire version. That's Peter Parker. This new one is superhero version of "Twilight" for the Z Generation i.e. emo, brooding etc.
Now back to The Dark Knight Rises. It is good, not great (that honour still belongs to 2008 The Dark Knight) but good enuff. At more than two hours, the plots and storyline tend to get overstretched at times, particularly in the middle. But at least it is not The Thing nor Prometheus. Whew!
And yes, everything unravel in this movie - from Wayne Enterprise dire financial exhaustion, Bruce becoming a bankruptcy, sufferring from depression, physical ailments, Gotham City gets obliterated and cut off from the rest of America, people uprising against the one percentiles rich and famous, financial and socio-economic collapse to Alfred relationship with Bruce breaking after the former reveals the letter of which Rachel Dawes wrote about how she chose to be with Harvey instead of Bruce of which Al lied to Bruce to in order to discourage Bruce from taking up the vigilante mantle again as Al worries about Bruce's safety, the guilty conscious which weight heavily on Jim Gordon about the truth regarding the circumstances of Harvey Dent's death. The Joker would have been proud.
Tom Hardy's Bane is as who he is, envisioned by director Christopher Nolan as a terrorist with brawn and brain in this celluloid incarnation as oppose to the dump truck version in Joel Shumacher 1987 Batman and Robin. After seeing Tom Hardy physique in Warrior, he still looks bulky, but not as muscular and perhaps even a bit fat-ish? And I reckoned they fine tuned his much criticised, supposedly hardly audible voice, as I could still make out 90% of what he said. I could have sworn it  is Sean Connery that does the voice over cos it sounds like him with British accented voice and the Darth Vader effect thrown in the mix. It is just that the Hannibal Lector/lobster underbelly like mask is kinda distracting. But we get a glimpse of Hardy's pre-mutilated face, just like the late Heath Ledger's the Joker's un-painted face in split seconds. And the hand to hand fight scene with the ageing, ailing, 8 years in exile walking with tongkat Christian Bale's the Batman is a brutal and no-holds barred battle. Through a device straps on his leg, Bruce returns as the Dark Knight to take on Bane.  And yes, Bane gets to break the Batman's spine and have him sent into a Middle Eastern non-descript underground ancient prison where no one escape...except for one, said to be Bane himself. And that is related to the twist revealed in the finale of the movie. The opening sequence of Bane's escape is breathtaking, and the director's penchant for wholesale destruction of cities visual in realistic manner like in Inception is unleashed here. The Bane here is a merciless individual with leadership qualitiy, a demagogue like all villians, except that he knows what he is doing exactly and with plans. He told Bruce that he would kill him after Bruce witness Bane destroys Gotham. He is not some crazy ass villians like the Scarecrow, Two Face nor the Joker although the latter still posseses the most "character" amongst them.
The Batman is still the same old brooding self, and perhaps drawing a little bit of inspiration from Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, forced to come out of his self imposed exile (after the death of Harvey Dent) to stop Bane and his boys from destroying Gotham. Abit aged (we never know what year the three movies are set in), Christian Bale carries on the same character as seen before. No new set of costume, same as the one from the previous sequel, the Thumbler is really gone but replaced by a flying turtle or bug known as the Bat.
The usual supporting casts all makes a return - Michael Caine's Alfred Pennyworth, Gary Oldman's Jim Gordon, Morgan Freeman's Lucius Fox and glimpse from the past i.e. the first and second movies - Aaron Eckhart's Harvey Dent, Maggie Gyllenhaal's Rachel Dawes, Liam Neeson's Ra's al Ghul, Bruce's dad, and of course, a still living Cillian Murphy's Dr. Jonathan Crane whom after Bane and his army released the violent prisoners from the Blackgate Prison and "contained" Gotham City through a series of intricately planned terrorist plot, double up as the judge of a kangaroo court (which curiously reminds me of what I had read about the Third Reich's People Court presided by the notorious Roland Freisler). New characters introduced include Joseph Gordon-Lewitt as Detective Robin John Blake (whom I still though looks abit like the late Heath Ledger and was telling Esther that he could be a cameo for the Joker waaay back when this second sequel was announced). Just take note of his first name. Another is Marian Cotillard as Miranda Tate and get this, Talia al Ghul. Ok. That's the twist. She is the mastermind behind it all, to avenge his late father's death and to complete his vision to destroy Gotham through an atomic bomb. This movie reveals more about the history of the al Ghuls - Henri Ducard or Ra's al Ghul was a mercenary working for a warlord when he fell in love with the latter's daugther, gets punished and imprisoned in the underground lair, but the daugther took his place in return for his freedom, pregnant with his child and born within. Her mom died in the hands of the deranged prisoners, Bane saves Talia, got mutilated badly in the lower face while holding off tens of prisoners and she remained the only one whom managed to escape from the hell hole. Later, Ra's return and took Bane in as apprentice of the League of Shadow, but saw the monster that he was, kinda chickened out and banished him from the membership. No refund. Too bad cos, his daugther is now in love with the human monster. So the legend about the only one whom escaped is not Bane but Talia.
Now, like I said, Brucie's back is broken right? But through the advise of an imprisoned doctor (whom initially spoke in foreign language then suddenly revert to English), he manages to heal and becomes the second person to escape the prison after numerous, painful attempts.
The second and final battle with Bane is kinda disappointing. I am expecting much more stretch out fight. But no such luck. And Bane's demise is pretty quick. He got literally blown and thrown a distance away after receiving a direct shot from the Batpod's gun, driven by the ever beautiful Anna, opps, I mean Anne Hathaway's Catwoman (though she is not referred as such in the movie at all, only Selina Kyle) after Talia stabbed the Batman, nearly choked him to death, and about to be shot by Bane. Hathaway's is such a candy eye in the entire movie, but her character is a balanced one, not like any Catwoman I used to know. Sassy and sexy with a strong feminist femme fatale appeal thrown in at the same time with stilletos that literally kills. No overtly sexpot character. No meow, meow this time 'round.
Talia got what coming to her after an extended chasing scene involving the Badpod, the Bat and several "rogue" Tumblers, crashing the truck driven by her  which carries the about to detonate atomic bomb. Her final departing words are chilling though, which shows how obsession of vengence can drive an individual into the abyss of absolute zero emphathy.
With no choice, the Batman hooks up the bomb with the Bat, the black, turtle (or beetle?) like helicopter/jet plane hybrid and it detonates far away from Gotham. No more Tumbler this time around but plenty of others camo version which are used by Bane's army, armed with heat seekers and cannons. We get to see Bruce tomb alongside his parents, with eulogy delivers by Jim (whom finally know Bruce is Batman after indirectly hints to him before taking the bomb away) and a grieving Alfred. But Bruce is alive. It seems he has now finally exorcised his inner anguish and need for vengeance. And what's more, there's Selina Kyle by his side. What a lucky guy. Alfred, whom is heartbroken and crying for every scene he appears in, sees Bruce in a cafe in Italy (Al had earlier shared with Bruce of how during Bruce's absence, he had a habit of taking sabbatical at a cafe in Italy and imagine seeing Bruce with an established family of his own, leading a normal life) and both gives a nod to each other with Al smiling, for the only time in the movie. And finally, the symbol of justice, now vacated, is filled in by none other than...you know who. Overall, it is a satisfying conclusion to the Nolan-verse Batman trilogy, even though there are scenes which I deemed not so important to the entire storyline. And I still miss the Joker...

Hot Toys The Batman Vehicles at a Glance.

From right to left : The Batmobile from the 1989 Tim Burton's gothic Batman, 1992 The Batman Returns, the Tumbler from Christopher Nolan's 2005 realistic The Batman Begins, 2008 The Dark Knight and possibly this year's The Dark Knight Rises, the Batpod from The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, the camo version of the Tumbler as seen in the trailers of The Dark Knight Rises, presumely uses by Bane and his army, and finally, the iconic Batmobile which was once a one off 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car by Ford from the campy 1966-1968 tv series and its 1966 film adaptation, Batman: The Movie. But the one which takes the "chunk" of the cake is of course The Bat. Yes, the flying vehicle which is glimpsed in the trailers of the Dark Knight Rises. Hot Toys is insane enough to actually produce this behemoth at 1/6th scale. Personally, it doesn't stir any emotions in me as in the case of the Tumbler or the Batpod, as much as I wonder how much it would cost for what seems to me like a giant flying black turtle. If it were to be an armoured, fighting suit or a robot, I would have a second thought, but it is a definitely no no for me about the Bat. Now, I wonder if Hot Toys would be tempted to actually offer the Bat Wing from 1989 version? It would have been even bigger! And talking about big, I wonder how I will lug this thing around from the shop to car park if I were to buy one? I wonder if xl-shop offer delivery service :P.

ThreeA ~ Adventure Kartel : King Thumb of The Nefarious Ten Finger Robot Gang.

On the day I was born
The nurses all gathered 'round
And they gazed in wide wonder
At the joy they had found
The head nurse spoke up
Said "leave this one alone"
She could tell right away
That I was bad to the bone

Bad to the bone
Bad to the bone
B-B-B-B-Bad
B-B-B-B-Bad
B-B-B-B-Bad
Bad to the bone
~ Bad to the Bone, George Thorogood and the Destroyers.

A (mis) Interpretation:

Name : Mikael Ironside.
Alias : King Thumb.
Age: 45 years old.
Affiliation : Champion of the Zombots Horde (former); Leader - The Nefarious Ten Finger Robot Gang (current).
Manufacturer: Zomb MD.
Height: 6 feet.
Weight: 500 kg.
Armour type : Super hardened rare metals composite alloy.
Armour thickness: 60mm.
Power plant : Warp powered daemon fuel cell.
Std. Armaments: "The Forgebreaker" - Daemon weapon x 1; auto-revolver x 1; monomolecular-edged wakizashi x 1; "The Ride of Apocalypse" - modified Zündapp x 1; Abomination Intelligence system; Auspex - multi-scanners.
Abilities : Machine Klatsch - robot martial art; cybernetic enhanced physiology; invulnerability against magic/physical attack; cunningness; techno arcane adept; average military strategist and tactician.

2001. Deep within the bowels of the Carrion City, the Zomb MD desires something equivalent to the New Andria's robot protectors, the ANKOUs. Embarking on this endeavour, the crazed, absolute overlord of the walking dead hordes successfully creates the Zombots, an unholy hybrid of machines and  living, captive humans fused with lesser daemons summon from the Immaterium via the Heart of Darkness. Assembled at the Forge of Souls with a mix of arcane knowledge and dark science, the Zombots prove to be the answer the Zomb MD has been looking for. Built through haphazard collection of salvaged, modified warbots' parts, cybernetic enhancements and trapped with unfortunate souls, the Zombots are driven to insanity for being merged with warp entities and sealed within a super hardened rare metals composition armour. These Zombots fight with deadly rigour, and tactical precision against the New Andria's ANKOUs robot protectors, rivalling even the Warzombs. They are equipped with all forms of projectile weapons, from rocket launchers to machine guns. The Zombots prove to be another new deadly creation by the Zomb MD in his (its) determination to depopulate New Andria and the entire sub-sector.
Champion of these Zombots is King Thumb. A former Marine veteran known as Mikael Ironside from the Age of The Great War, King Thumb is different from other Zombots. Before being turned, Ironside was an acquaintance of William "Bleak" Mission, both being in the same company during the rotation and fought in Germania sub-sector of the Western Front. Even as a grunt, Ironside was considered a sociopath. The CO of the company once commented the Ironside was "neither fit to command, nor fit to be commanded". He committed acts of atrocities which surpassed even the most insane acts of madness a war can induced within an individual. Eventually, Ironside was forced out and dishonourably discharged from service. After military rehabilitation, he took up a number of "jobs", all illegal within the official context, and was particularly noted for working briefly with the MOD pirates as a cyber hacker. When it was too much even for the MOD to handle him, Ironside became a cybernetic parts smuggler and came to New Andria to work for one of the local Mafiosi, Mo Prostate. When he was wanted by the New Andria security for indiscriminate stealing of cybernetic body parts and murder, Ironside  tried to escape the city, but Mo backstabbed him by ratting him out to the authorities to clear himself of Ironside's crimes.
Sentenced to the Butcher's Bay penal colony iso-cube for life on Site 7, Ironside managed to escape during transit, slaughtered everyone in the shuttle and returned to New Andria for vengeance. He failed in his attempt to assassinate Tommy Mission but managed to escape the New Andria police authority. Regardless his body was severely injured during his escape, and Ironside hid himself within the networks of sewer tunnels for a period where gangrene and severe wound myiasis began to occur.
A lowly, hungry Zomb found what remained of Ironside before he succumb to septicemia, and brought him back to the Necropolis as supper. Before Ironside could become a meal for the zomb, the Zombot programme had begun and desperate for whatever raw materials required, the Zomb MD commanded that Ironside's remains to be fed to the Forge of Souls.
The process of transformation was ghastly, with unbridled pain. Already insane, Ironside mental downward spiral reached an all time low, totally devoid of empathy and morality. Fuelled with white heated anger, Ironside overcame the warp entity's possession of his soul, and became independent of the Heart of Darkness and the Zomb MD's controls. In general, all Zombots were reduced to no more than a mindless automatons, robot fighting machines for the Zombs Horde based on a mix of dark instructions and pre-programmed protocols which the Zomb M.D. devilishly called as the Abomination Intelligence System. But not Ironside, for through sheer will, his persona and memories remain intact. In fact, he also reverse the lesser daemon control upon him.
Realising this, the Zomb MD, quite delightful of this new development instead, promoted Ironside as the Champion of the Zombots. Ironside, now without an ounce of flesh or bones left but only bitter memories about New Andria, undertook this new found role and purpose with exciting glee. Calling himself King Thumb (after winning a thumb wrestling contests among the Zombs), the Zombot champion forged for himself a daemon weapon in the form of a sledgehammer called "The Forgebreaker", which can split apart any physical object at the molecular level. King Thumb then developed his own cyborg martial art which he called, the Machine Klatsch. Through the control of reflective resonance vibratory movement, King Thumb could basically turn both his metal hands into a force weapon and destroy any opponents by tearing them apart like soft butter. King Thumb is also invulnerable to all forms of magic and sorcerous attacks for being a fully developed cyborg. Nevertheless, King Thumb has full knowledge and able to apply all forms of techno arcane dark magic arts. He would often capture humans and forcibly turn them into machines for his army, fusing them with daemonic entities.
He retains his old autorevolver, and in one of the siege of New Andria led by him, King Thumb succeed in obtaining a prized monomolecular edged wakizashi blade as a trophy. King Thumb nominates ten special Zombots to act as his personal retinues and bodyguards. Together this elite, murderous team of robots are collectively called the Nefarious Ten Finger Robot Gang,  raids the abandoned and disused industrial complexes of the Northern Frontier, committing all forms of atrocities upon the refugees there. They announce their onslaught with the roars of their highly modified bikes, attached with spikes, chainsaws and guns. Innocent bystanders and enemies alike would be hacked apart, blown or shot to pieces by their indiscriminate, wanton acts of destruction and murders. Eventually, King Thumb and his gang would splintered away from the primary Zomb Horde of Necropolis, and take up residence at The Fortress of Hate, a flak tower from the times of the Great War located on one of the chain of islands collectively called the Robot Islands. There, he resides, sitting on a brass throne in his throne room. King Thumb adornes the place with human skulls and skins, with torture chambers perpetually echoing with the screams of agony of his victims. He also experiments and eventually mastered the arcane techniques of producing more Zombots, and gain favours from the Dark Gods of Chaos.  The Adventure Kartel collective led by Thomas "Tommy" Mission is currently King Thumb and his gang greatest adversary. Again and again, King Thumb's attempt to destroy New Andria and annihilate its population has been adverted by Tommy and his AK members. But with each defeat, King Thumb learnt from it, and within his own residence, the Zombot champion is scheming for another plan to carry out another fresh assault until personal vengeance is achieved. This would eventually culminate in the so-called Robot Islands War.

......................................................................................................................................

What better version of Zombot to own than King Thumb, right? I only need one version of a Zombot and this is it. It is also released as a complete set of eleven figures, the entire gang of the Nefarious Ten Fingers Robot Gang but I thought, apart from the price of the set, I lack interest in Zombots. Just like an ANKOU. Just the SXCLB ANKOU Ex will do. Exception is of course, the TKs and TQs. Just can't get enough of them.

The Cranberries.

All my life
Is changing every day
In every possible way

In all my dreams
It's never quite as it seems
Never quite as it seems

I know I've felt like this before
But now I'm feeling it even more
Because it came from you

Then I open up and see
The person falling here is me
A different way to be

I warn more
Impossible to ignore
Impossible to ignore

They'll come true
Impossible not to do
Impossible not to do

Now I tell you openly
You have my heart so don't hurt me
You're what I couldn't find

Totally amazing mind
So understanding and so kind
You're everything to me

All my life
Is changing every day
In every possible way
And oh my dreams
It's never quite as it seems
Cause you're a dream to me
Dream to me

Happy Birthday Dylan 2012.

Held a small gathering for the kids for Dylan's Birthday. Esther took the initiative to order a cake chosen by him - a football match cake. Euro Cup? The kids enjoyed themselves, Mom took the trouble to make some nice meals for everyone, received some ang pows as usual. Haven't got a present for him. This weekend, Dylan.

Chloe & Dylan ~ BoBoiBoy.

The two precious acting out the stances of their new fav cartoon, BoBoyBoiBoh, uh, tongue twisting title, I mean BoBoiBoy. Dylan has also tried to sing the opening theme. Curiously, I find the ending theme kinda nice...Also, Esther's mom made a nice dress for Chloe after their trip from Malacca recently.

He is sometimes refer to as Der Totenkopf or The Death's Head. Within it's adamastos skull, contains a bio mechanical, genetically engineered organic brain created through techno-arcane knowledge long lost and forgotten in the mist of time. It is incapable of any forms of contamination and degeneration. Garmr's origin is shrouded in mystery, known only to the Supreme Mother. He is found embedded deep within one of the mines on the Principality of Ceres asteroid mining colony, designated as Z45. After Operation Lawnmower was carried out by the 1st Jovian Expeditionary Fleet to crush the Zeon Uprising, Garmr is absconded by the N.O.M. Legion and brought back to their fortress monastery. Through psychometry, the Supreme Mother believes Garmr descends from a separate lineage of an ancient human race, a being from an age long forgotten, whereby the human race had reached the zenith of civilisation advancements and achievements. The Supreme Mother believes that there were once a million of them standing as the primary vanguard of humankind throughout the entire western galaxy but their demise followed due to cataclysmic events said to be of their own doing. Garmr was said to be holding a rank equivalent to a captain of a company during those period. Believed to be originally flesh and bones, Garmr underwent the transformation into its current form after undergoing an intense genetic re-engineering via by now lost arcane technology of those times.
Garmr holds an un-question, unwavering loyalty to the Supreme N.O.M. Commander and upholds the Threefold Path vigorously. Garmr is one of the Twelve Retinues of the Supreme Mother, keeping vigil outside the Gate of Gnipahellir. He also holds the rank as the High Captain of the highly feared  Totenwatche Spezialgruppe or Deathwatch. The elite deployment group/task force is not organized like a regular N.O.M. elite task force. The Deathwatchers are instead divided into "Fighting Teams" which are formed in an ad hoc manner and only during the greatest peril threatening the N.O.M. The individual squads and specialists will fight side by side out of familiarity and comradeship, and are selected from across any chapters and elite groups, regardless of their ranks, rather than any imposed organization. The Deathwatchers respond to the call of battle where they benefit the standard N.O.M. Chapters by supporting them with their immense skills and experiences which can turn the tide in any desperate battle. Garmr does not believe that a warrior is forged in battle but rather that battle tempers their fighting spirit to do greater acts in the future. He is also known for his indomitable will power and incredibly resilient fighting spirit. Like all well trained, experienced master strategist and tactician, Garmr could read, change and adapt to the ever changing ebb and flow of a combat throughout the course of a battle, more than often turning a seemingly dire situation into victory. As a champion of the N.O.M. Legion, Gamr would always be located and “deep strike” in that part of the battlefield where the fighting is the thickest and where the greatest peril resides.
Garmr possesses several ancient devices and armaments. The Sturm jet boosters enabled him to transverse and manoeuvre in any form of environments with unprecedented ease and speed. The jet boosters are powered by the central core power plant within Garmr, enabling it to achieve maximum velocity near the speed of light.
Garmr's entire body is cladded in a form of power armour. The armour is forged from nanocrystalline adamastos hyper alloy and there are currently no known energy based nor projectile weaponries which could penetrate his armour. It also vaunted for its legendary durability. The Supreme Mother has observed that each stage of the armour’s construction incorporates layer upon layer of ancient electromagnetic algorithms and ferromantic incantations. It is an incredibly well crafted lattice of psychoconductive filaments and amulets, anointed and inscribed with prayers and wards, ritually consecrated and psychically charged. The armour works in tandem with Garmr’s own formidable psychic powers, protecting him and those around from the effects of the Ruinous Powers and psykers. The entire amour is capable of self generating various form of energy shields - the "Refractor Field" deflects projectile based weaponries and munitions while the "Reductor Field" disperses as well as deflects energy based weaponries. Thirdly, the "Rosarius Field" protects Garmr from even the most powerful raw warp energy attack by daemonic entities from the Immaterium. Both the pauldron and spaulder, known as Svalinn, house additional shield generators. The armour's ritual blessings and psychic resonance also serve to confound the perception of any enemy. The psychically charged nature of the armour also allows its mere presence to induce intense terror and pain in any form of enemies as long as they posses sentiency. This arcane lore is etched into Garmr’s very structure at a molecular level. Thus armour is occasionally also referred to as the Armour of Faith or Rüstung des Glaubens. Members of N.O.M. would said that it should be instead referred to as the Unobtanium armour, since its composition does not exist and un-obtainable in current times.
Garmr is perpetually powered by a form of matter-antimatter reactor core which contained a mini-wormhole, which in turn continuously fuels Garmr with immensely powerful energy via a form of hyperspatial, space-time continuum webways weave directly into a black hole locates at the centre of the galaxy. To be capable of possessing such an immense form of power and yet without being torn apart could mean that Garmr is possibly one of the most powerful being in existence. Garmr possesses both powerful psychic abilities and skills. He could hack into any warbots programme effortlessly and takes control of it like a Nom de Plume individually or several at once. He once taken control of an entire battleship while simultaneously machine-wipe a division of warbots. Through the same principle as applies by the N.O.M., Garmr could manipulate its target perception and reality, rendering himself invisible to the eyes, multi-scanners and sensors of its enemies or even blend into the surrounding environment. He could also unleash devastating, deadly telekinetic detonation which would destroys and tears apart all matters at molecular level as well as rending the very fabric of reality apart.
Garmr's primary weapon of choice in any battles is an ancient, unknown origin, a relic equally as old as Garmr, the Fenrir’s Jaw. It is a huge, nigh indestructible black, master crafted battle axe. The power weapon is believed to contain the very essence of the ancient Nordic monstrous wolf of myth. The weapon strikes most fear into the heart of the N.O.M. enemies and opponents alike, an instrument of death forged from the same composition as Garmr himself. The battle axe head is a full three spans across, and when activates, the blade of the axe become sheath in a field of black, crackling energy which disrupts solid matter up to the molecular level, allowing the weapon to easily cleave apart any physical object, causing molecular bonds to disintegrate in any foe unfortunate enough to be struck by it. Gamr could psychic guide and control the Fenrir’s Jaw, enabling it to hurl the battle axe at targets and then returns back to his grip. Countless warbots, vehicles and humans have been cleaved apart by Fenrir’s Jaw with just a single blow from top to bottom. Only Garmr is be able to "tame" the Fenrir's Jaw. Any other beings, be it a warbot or a human, whom attempt to take it or even a mere touch, would be short circuited or driven insane by its intense and furious "essence". When facing a psychic based enemy, such as demonic warp entities of the Ruinous Powers, Fenrir’s Jaw also houses a psi-matrix which is attuned to the unique psyche of Garmr, enabling the power of the battle axe itself to directly corresponds to the psychic talent of the wielder, making it a truly devastating weapon against the foul creatures, either annihilate them entirely or loosening their grip on the material realm and banish them back into the Immaterium.
Garmr is also armed with a massive twin-linked assault rifle known as the X07, or the Hel’s Sturm. A recoil less, electromagnetic propelling based weapon, Hel’s Sturm could rain down ultra sonic speed, self-propelling armour penetrating rounds to shred its targets to pieces. The Hel’s Sturm utilises two primary form of ammunitions - the 30mm "Penetrator" round and the 20mm "Psycannon" round. The Penetrator rounds explode with devastating effect upon impact on all forms of enemies. The core of the ammunition then accelerates deep into the target, which contains a form of detonator, which explodes and propels shards of super hardened metals throughout within the target effectively shredding the target from inside out. This is very effective against heavily armoured target. The 20mm Psycannon round is a form of psychic-bound ammunition which releases immense telekinetic energies that explode with enormous psychic energies upon impact. It has been said that this particular specialised ammunition is used primarily against entities of the Ruinous Powers from the Immaterium and other forms of supernatural beings. Garmr could use its psychic ability to independently or simultaneously guide each shot to seek out potential targets, bypassing any obstacles, regardless of their positions or nature - warbots, daemons or humans - by detecting their sentiency or electrical spectrum signature emission. This is used to annihilate mass infantry or clusters of enemies.
During the N.O.M. assault on the Rothchild City on Luna, 20th July 1944, Garmr, leading the Deathwatch, singularly annihilated six Shadow Guard Divisions and breached Rothchild's Camo Defence Line. Amongst one of Garmr greatest endeavour was the utter defeat of daemonic entities pouring out from a warp overlay manifested from a space drive engine of a grand cruiser captured by the MOD faction when they tried to modify it with faster than light capability to a disastrous consequences which annihilated all the techno space pirates. Picking up the foul warp stench of the Ruinous Powers, the Deathwatch is forced to confront a daemonic entities invasion of which they are outnumbered several thousands to one. The Ruinous Powers daemons are led by a Greater Daemon of the Horned One. Garmr and his troops' will of iron and incorruptible faith resulted in a victory although the battle decimated two third of Deathwatchers. Garmr personally engages the Greater Daemon in a vicious battle of which he tears the foul, monstrous beast into pieces with the Fenrir’s Jaw and his bare hands. He also pursued the remainder of the Lesser Daemons into the warp overlay, slaughtering all and left none standing despite the perils of the warp energies. The grand cruiser then was set on self destruction, sealing off the warp overlay perpetually.
The Supreme Mother once said, that whenever Garmr takes to the field of battle, it is an echo of the power from those ancient days long gone.

.................................................................................................................

Just arrived in post (luckily no trip to the custom this time, heh), this is the Ashley Wood re-imagination of the popular mobile suit Zaku II in collaboration with Bandai from the culturally significant, immensely popular Japanese anime epic series, Mobile Suit Gundam from the Universal Century timeline and background. It was made available immediately at WonderFest exhibition. But based feedbacks and information gathered from forums, this "inspirational" model of Zaku is not generally well received by hardcore fans, primarily focus their complains about the dual eyes instead of the iconic mono eye of a Zaku. Its sale at Bambaland was also extended beyond the standard 24 hours, most likely because of its price and sale period clash with the 2012 3AA membership. Teasers were released to promote it at several toys exhibitions to raise its awareness. Personally I think the "critics" are missing the exact point of this model - it is an re-imagination, not a exact reproduction of the iconic Zeon "grunt" mobile suit. Logically, if I were to want an exact replica of a 1/60 scale Zaku II, I would have simply gotten meself a Perfect Grade self assemble model from Bandai instead. I remembered when the first teaser was released, which is the painting Ash done on the cover of the box and I was getting really excited. When the prototype was shown, I found that the fists were kinda too big. The prototype colour weathering was abit too extreme. Luckily, the final release is just right, with the colouration and weathering quite close to the NOM Commanders Snow Blind Version and Fantome de Plume. Those who complains about this figure are nit-picking in my honest opinion. More importantly for me, this release is just right, as I re-imagine the Zaku as one of the N.O.M, and it has all the hallmarks, vinyl goodness signature of Ash and 3A written all over it. With the vacuum cleaner hoses like pipings all over, hint of Prussian style design, and though it is 1/60 scale, I re-imagine it to fit into the world of 3A various stories and product line releases. It has a strong, close design of a N.O.M. It also seriously reminds me of the Space Jockey from Alien (or the Engineers as they called it now since Prometheus has been released) and a bit of Space Marines from Games Workshop's Warhammer 40K universe and somehow, Death's Head, the robot bounty hunter from the pages of Marvel UK, originated in The Transformer series.  It is about 16 inches tall, but bulkier than a Caesar or Armstrong, thus giving an impression it is quite a large figure, just like Mongrol, not to mention a certain level of brutal impression it gives off. It also comes with an impressive heat hawk, another iconic weaponry from Gundam, as well as a Rick Dom type like massive hyper bazooka in the form of a heavy machine gun I guess. The only complain which I have is still, like all vinyl models, is that most ball joints and finger joints will eventually get loose and floppy over time, which is a pain in the arse if you were wanna pose or grip the weaponries. Nevertheless, I am overall happy with it and glad to have one.  Again, majority of the ideas above are taken from the world of WH40K, like Lexicanum, Games Workshop and Forge World sites.
