A (mis) interpretation :
Name: Eito Amsel aka "The Afghan Hound".
Age : 28 years old.
Armor Type : Kampfküriss Typ IX No.2 ver. "Nachtjager".
Rank: First Lieutanant/Platoon Leader - 5th Platoon "Zwergspitz"; 1st Company "Kurzhaar"; Special Armed Brigade “Kerberos Panzerwaffen Stahlhunde"; Defense Division "Schutzabteilung", Metropolitan Security Police Organisation "Hauptstadtsicherheitspolizei".
Std. Armament : Karabiner 98k rifle w. Zeiss Zielvier 4x (ZF39) telescopic sight, Panzerbusche PzB39 anti-tank rifle, Mauser C96 sidearm.
Snipers deployment within the Kerberos can be primarily traced back from the days of the Battle of Stalingrad, particularly during the intense Rattenkreig phase which involves the famous showdown between the German sniper Major Leon Thorvald and the Soviet leading precision marksman, Vladimir Zaytsev. The late Major developed further the concept of coup d'oeil following the outcome of the battle, which doctrine is adopted by Germany and occupied nations' militaries. At the height of the Kerberos Mutiny, tactical marksman led by Lt. Amsel from the 5th Platoon inflicted significant casualties upon both the Self Police and Public Security Division forces, and is greatly feared in equal measure as their heavy and lightning assault counterparts. After the downfall and subsequent neutralisation of the putsch by the JGSDF, Lt. Amsel escaped with few others from Japan, and later re-emerged as a member of the Anti-Lebensraum Liberation Army in the Middle East.
Needless to say, I have a fun time coming up with this kitbash (more like add ons...), inspired by leading Japanese kitbash sifu, Kaz's work on the official Kerberos website as well as ideas from Wiki...
How do you do, Mr. Gecko!
ReplyDeleteYour cute children and the high-definition figure picture are wonderful.
I'd like to copy your custom!
I want this protect gear to tell me details of worn Zeltbahn...
Where is so nice Zeltbahn found?
Sorry for bad English..
Hi mami. Thanks for visiting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the positive comment. Honestly, I copied the custom from a master-customiser known only as KAZ. His customised set of several Kerberos cops can be viewed online at the official Kerberos website.
The Zeltbahn was purchased separately from an eBay shop called
Keranza Collectibles. I think it is from DiD. Originally it comes in Camo color (autumn pattern). I used a black, permanent, white board marker to paint it all over. That's about it. Hope this helps.
Thank you very much for your answer!
ReplyDeleteIt was possible to find goods thanks to you.
Can it be colored with a whiteboard marker!
I was surprised.
Is Zeltbahn this? : [http://cgi.ebay.com/Dragon-WWII-German-1-6-Camo-Zeltbahn-Field-Set-3-MOC_W0QQitemZ350301834997QQcategoryZ27294QQcmdZViewItem]
It can be made a nice protect gear like you with this.
I think I'll buy this Zeltbahn with protect gear sometime!
I'm a poor female senior high school student of Japanese residence, so I save money hard. Thank you very much for your ^o^ Mr.Gecko!
Hi mami. Thank you for the pleasant comment.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is the same autumn camoflage Zeltbahn. Sorry, I mentioned earlier it was from DiD, in fact from Dragon. My mistake.
According to KAZ the master customiser comments on the Kerberos website, he dyed the fabric. But I do not know how. So, I thought about using whiteboard marker and paint it all black. I have to paint it several times to achieve the desired result. I think the Protect Gear is one of the best design, I like it alot too. Hope to see your Protect Gear with Zeltbahn soon.
May I know the Zeltbahn only available in camo color? It's just one piece coat?
ReplyDeleteCan I know what material you use to do the belts? Any shop i can find them?
May I know the Zeltbahn only comes in 1 color? I just need 1 coat for it?
ReplyDeleteWhat material do you use for the belts? I need some replacements on the original MP belt as the leather coming off. Any shop i can search for?
Can you tell us if this is the same item with different color?

Do we have to do any modification on the coat to make it look like yours?
Hi Tomato.
ReplyDeleteSorry for the late reply.
Thanks for the visit to my humble blog.
As for your questions :
The Zeltbahn is originally autumn pattern. I have not seen it/or sell separately on the Web. I guess any Zeltbahn will do, irregardless of the pattern. The one I used is actually square upon unfolding it, and in the middle is the part where the head of the figure goes through. From the pic in Monkey Depot, it looks like it. You would need to do a little bit of folding here and there, with some adjustment to see that it fit accordingly. For this aspect, may I suggest visiting Kerberos Official webpage, under KAZ customiser section for reference. For the belt, I used one of the spare DID std Heer type but it broke as I was adjusting it with the Y-strap. I just re-glue it together and then re-color it again with the same whiteboard black marker used for the Zeltbahn to cover up the glue/break mark.
Hope this helps.
Can you please help me identify if the following 2 are same as yours?
ReplyDeleteI've seen a few samples but the one your have looks better, though i can't tell from these pics if they will look the same. It seems the one you have got alot of buttons on it which is nice. I plan to get 2 just worry that i got the wrong one.

Hi tomato.
ReplyDeleteSorry for late reply. I went through the links. Although both are not in Autumn camo like the one I have, I personally think the first one (ref Dragon) with "buttons" are nice and same. The fabric looks the same too. Just a suggestion, I think the color (green?) looks nice, and maybe you can try not to re-color it like I did with a black marker. Perhaps I might get another one with the same color as well.
I just got the Zeibahn, but can you show me how to wear it like the one in your pics? It doesn't have a sleeve so how do you wear him to look so good?
ReplyDeleteHi tomato.
ReplyDeleteOk. I shall try. Pls allow me one or two weeks to think of a way to show the steps and publish it for you in this blog. The way I apply the Zeltbahn is a matter of guesswork only, based on Kaz's figure...
