N.Rajah ~ Update.

Finally, the King himself, still remaining a child....if Becky and Sally are slow in growth, the King is almost in comatose stasis...no pitcher being formed, the leaves remain small...but not browning luckily, except for one which the long gone original pitcher attached it.

N. Bicalcarata ~ update.

Becky, like Sally, also grow at a rather slower rate...although the existing lone pitcher still stay green but unimpressive...luckily new sprout's coming out with pitcher...originally there are 3 pitchers but as mentioned before Leo took a bite at it...interesting fact is that Becky also has little or no conductive waxy zone.

N. Veitchii x Fusca ~ update.

Vicky is doing fine but not at the rate I expected...it is quite slow and so far only one existing pitcher which is halfway browning. Luckily new sprout is forming with sign of new pitcher.

N. x Hookeriana ~ update.

Like Raffy, Hooky is also triving at a faster rate...fresh sprout coming out...with new pitchers...however, the existing pitchers are also browing at a fast rate.

N. Rafflesiana ~ update.

Raffy is not only triving but growing at a faster pace than the rest. The pitchers are comparatively larger too.

N. Ampullaria ~ Larry.

Larry is doing fine and triving. New rosettes are in the midst of being formed in the center of the ground pitchers cluster. However, I regret feeding the crickets previously as the peristome of the pitchers have turned brown. I think it is damaged. Separately, Ampullaria is fast becoming my favourite. The last visit to Fauzi's stall, there are many other types available and really tempted to collect them all. The reason? I like the shape of the pitcher as well as the way they grow at the ground level. Also, I found out that Ampullaria has developed from being a carnivore to being largely detritivorous by absorbing leaves litter instead to absorb nutrient. Maybe I should start peppering some fallen leaves into it just to see how it go...

Monkey Cups - N. Globosa

New addition to my monkeys, N. Globosa aka "N. Viking" as the pitcher resembles the prow a Viking ship. Endemic to the Andaman Islands, Thailand, there has been controversy as to whether it is a separate species or a sort of natural hybrid, in particular with N. Mirabilis.

Esther's attempt on cheese cake and muffin.

Well, for the past few weeks, Esther had been making cheese cakes and chocolate banana muffins...the result? Uh...the cheese cake was a tad too..."loose"? The flavour was alright though...thumb's up for a brave try (and without me suffering from hourly visit to Da Loo ;P). The muffins' great and looking forward the next one.
