Mom has been following this Hokkien series from Taiwan for nearly 3 years, on Astro Channel 301 Hua Hee Tai (Happy Channel). It is already episode 853! I understand Penang, Kedah Northern Hokkien dialect but not the Taiwanese type which are more "pure" (as northen Hokkien dialect contained Malay language like soap = sabun, towel = tuala). According to my mom, the series chronicled from when the main characters were still young 'till when they are about to be grandparents! Each time this series is on, from 6pm for an hour, mom would concentrate more on this series than on her grand kids!
