This "old guard" TK is one of the four exclusive releases from the recently concluded ThreeA Hong Kong Re-Venture exhibition, which also features amongst others, two "Yesterday Queens" TQ, a variant of Lady Sham (!) and others. ThreeA members get a chance to preorder online at Bambaland but it comes inserted randomly like lucky draw which I really hate, as well as a set consisting of other figures I am not so interested in. Also, you got to personally go to the venue in Hong Kong during the event to collect it. This is the first time I encounter a toy company which went through all these to ensure exclusivity. Kinda eccentric if you were to ask me. ThreeA is kind enuff to offer them exclusively for ThreeA members again after the conclusion of the event online at Bambaland, also at random but knowing all the cart jacking issue online, it's a terrible, terrible struggle. Anyhoo, I managed to snag one, the yellow hair one with a blue black eye. I don't know why they are called old guard, most likely as an "honor" to the first four original TK ThreeA released way back in 2008 (?). The blondie back then is called Hideo. There's other three - red, black with beard, and blue. All available, on eBay. Cost? One scalper offers RM10k for all complete four figures. Average figure is RM2k and above. Nuts. So, I reckoned "Hideo" 'ere will be the most outstanding TK I currently own with its unique blonde colouration (which I really like btw, the other being the red TK coz I feel TK needs more "loud" color, like their counterparts, the TQ) and also the most lonely, even though his brader numbered in millions :P. Maybe one day blondie, maybe one day, youse all shall be together...
